The biggest thing I took from this drop was that a CM isn't just managing a community they're managing the relationship between a founder and that community.
The part about a 30 second founder voice note having more impact than dozens of CM messages felt very real. I've seen communities instantly become more engaged when a founder shows up, even if they're repeating information that was already shared.
I also liked the framing trick. Instead of telling a founder they're wrong, you frame feedback around how the community might perceive a decision. That feels much more practical because you're providing perspective rather than creating conflict.
Another lesson was learning to recognize patterns. Anyone can make a bad decision, but repeated red flags tell a different story. The idea of tracking those patterns instead of reacting emotionally to every incident was probably the most useful takeaway for me.
