1) I'm a straightforward person and I will act like one from the beginning to the end. Let's start.
First of all, respect is reciprocal. If you give it, you will earn it back. But if you try to play smart, it will all crash right in front of your eyes.
There is this gentleman I respect a lot. Not because I know him personally or think he is perfect, but just because of how straightforward he is. I automatically liked him. He resonates with me in terms of character and determination. He lets his work speak for him. He stands tall even when everyone is against him. Bold and loud but in a healthy way. So much to admire about this vibrant man.
Being honest, I respect him from afar. He does not even know because I never really drag with him and sometimes feel shy to even joke around him. But since this feels like a safe space I will just say his name. @illia. You are a great one. Keep walking your path and never change for anybody. Let's go. 🚀
2) The friendly and authoritative part is really funny to me ngl 😂
Yes I got it wrong at some point in my journey. Not because I was too friendly, just human nature doing its thing. I was not cold either. I was simply trying to help someone navigate some issues and somehow every mistake fell on me because I was not giving others space to contribute. Maybe I was just too overactive.
3) All my life I worked hard to earn every bit of respect I have. But I never knew I could gain quick respect the way the Syndicate Inner Circle badge gave it to me. I went from being just a community rat to an overall seer overnight.
Newbies started asking me how to navigate the system. My voice started being heard. Things became funny even when they were not that deep. Shoutout here and there from community members. People checking up on me with tags. I could go on and on.
But one thing I will never forget is the danger of relaxation. The moment you feel comfortable in something you did not fully earn, without putting in enough work, it can all end in vanity faster than you think.
You need to prove you deserve the position. Show up daily. Contribute massively to the growth of the community. Get involved in strategic planning and real advice. Let not just the members but the heads of the community see how much you are putting in.
Before I go, I would love to see Syndicate create a space where members can openly share their skills, advise on community direction and contribute to its growth together. Merci beaucoup 🙏🏽
