MY REFLECTION MATERIAL DROP 02
1. Community I stayed for beyond the rewards
I joined Syndicate through Zealy because of the rewards honestly. That's what brought me in.
But I ended up staying because it's an early project trying to build something real and the people in the community actually made it fun. Berlin, Soul, Naeem, Koyashima, Norman these guys make the conversations worth coming back for. It stopped being about points and became about seeing what's cooking in the server.
The moment I noticed the shift was when I started checking Discord even when I wasn't grinding tasks. Just wanted to see what people were talking about.
2. The language hack
I'm from Nigeria so I already speak English and my local language. But I'd definitely learn basic words from other languages to connect better with people in different communities.
Maybe Spanish or Portuguese since there are people from LATAM in crypto spaces. Or basic Mandarin for Asian community members.
The idea of learning just 10 words to make someone feel seen that's smart. I'd do it.
3. Forced but real conversation
The first task when we joined Syndicate community asked us to communicate and reach a certain level before we could submit.
At first it felt mechanical you have to talk to earn points. But the rules didn't allow spam so you actually had to say something real.
People started talking about trading, life stuff, jokes, random things. The task created the excuse to start talking but the conversations became real.
I've seen people continue those conversations even when they weren't grinding the task anymore. That's the setup working exactly how it's supposed to.
