Comment / reason
the profile is basically empty, so let's start with what's missing. headline is two dashes. that's the single most valuable line on linkedin, it shows up next to your name everywhere. with "open to work" turned on and the headline blank, a recruiter sees your name, sees you're looking, and has nothing to go on. pick an angle and own it. seven words. "aerospace student exploring web3" works. don't do "crypto enthusiast | web3 | defi | nft" because that's the headline everyone else has. about section is empty. three to four lines in your own voice is enough. where you are, what you're working on. you're a second-year aerospace student in lagos who just joined a crypto cohort, that's already a more interesting opener than most of the cohort writes. you just have to say it. the inner circle entry is the one i have to flag hard. you set it as Full-time at Syndicate. the notion guide on this task is explicit, inner circle goes under volunteer or programs or training, not full-time employment. a recruiter reads "full-time at syndicate", figures out it's a cohort, and trust is gone before you've spoken. switch the employment type, keep the syndicate tag. the description under it is fully passive. "we are still in the beginning phase, getting to know what we are doing, being strictly monitored, tasks are given to aid us in the process." you're not the subject of a single verb. for a creator cohort that's the opposite of what the profile should signal. rewrite it from your side. what are you doing this week. posting on twitter, attending webinars, reading material drops, working on your first article. say it in active voice. and drop "strictly monitored", it reads like a punishment posting. "student" under experience is duplicating your education section below. remove it. activity is dead, zero followers and two reposts. for a creator cohort that section should be the one growing fastest. the program gives you reasons to post, use them. one post by end of week one, even a screenshot of a material drop with a paragraph of reaction. four weeks of that and you have a profile that's alive instead of a profile that's just open to work. banner is default gray. takes ten minutes, anything beats default. photo has an inner circle border overlay. good energy, your cohort reads it, recruiters outside won't. keep it for now, a clean shot lands wider later. skills section has one skill, autocad. on a profile aimed at crypto it actively misdirects. fill it with what you're picking up this season or hide it entirely. i'm rejecting this one because the profile doesn't clear the bar yet. the fixes are short though, all doable tonight. what i'd love to see on resubmit: 1. a real headline, seven words max, positioning not buzzword stack. 2. an about section, three to four lines in your own voice. 3. fix the inner circle entry. employment type off full-time, description rewritten in active voice. 4. drop "student" from experience. 5. fill or hide the skills section. 6. one real post in the activity feed by end of week one. clean those up and send it again.
